UK needed UF to lose just like UT. If UK won vs UGA and lost @ UT we'd still have an outside shot. But us losing vs UGA pretty much eliminate any chance.

UT very much wanted UK to lose.

Wanting and needs are very much different. I actuallt wanted UK to win since our game next week would settle the standings. If we lose another regular season game we have bigger problems than what is needed to make sec championship.

Lol. The only reason I wanted UK to lose this game is because it is pleasing to me. Not massively so, because UK being losers/chokers in football is all too common, but y'all having any shred of success in football is vomit inducing (I'm sure the feeling is mutual in basketball). The outcome of the UGA game is irrelevant. UK will bend over and take their Big Orange spanking like always. Past two years: 50-14, 52-21. I expect a similar score. Maybe worse.

My Kentucky folks on Facebook are crying, and so are the Georgia fans. We won, Florida lost, it's been a good day other than the gumps winning.

UK could have split the UGA/UT games and at worst finish 5-3, which assuming UT wins out is exactly what UT will finish with. UT couldn't eliminate UK, only beat them via tie.

Sorry to hear that. I'll just be happy if we show up and fight. We've played some of our worst football the last years vs UT. I want to believe we are due for a bad game from UT, but UT has had so many bad games already that I feel they are due for a good one. So it's a mixed bag for me. Keep it within 20 and I'll be happy. Just can't let Dobbs beat us with his legs.

Beating UK would give us the tiebreaker over them. Thus eliminating them provided we both finish with the same record. I get it, you haven't been in this situation before in football so this is all new to you. Nothing has changed from before saturday. We beat you and you have to hope for Tennessee losses.

UK winning or losing that game had absolutely nothing at all to do with UT winning the East. The only team that controls their destiny is UF and if they fold, we are in the drivers seat no matter what the outcome of the UK/UGA game.

However you want to word it, beating UK via a tie in standings is the same as eliminating....as in you're not going to win the East.

I guess how I phrased it confused you. I said UT would beat UK in a tie if we split the last games. My whole point was UT was relying on UK losing at least one and aiming for a tie with UF if they lose as well. No need to throw out the half assed smack talk.

Yes, how I phrased it wasn't very well done. I was trying to get across the point that had UK split these two games, it would still fall to UT to win the last two games and get the tie for the win. This game wouldn't have immediately decided it then and there. UK could have lost to UT and if UT loses then still have a chance.

We are relying on Florida to lose at least one more. Thats it. The rest is all up to the vols to win out. Gotta get that smack talk in before saturday, just in case :p

Just recall you jumping all over me last week for saying we'd have a very difficult time trying to slow down/stop Kentucky's run game for less than 250-275, even as I said I thought we'd win. And we gave up 443....care to apologize?

Apologize? No. Admit I was wrong? Sure. How was I supposed to know that UK would rush for over 400 yds on our defense? We won the game, that's all that matters to me.

Sure seemed to matter to you last week when I said Tennessee's defense would struggle vs KY's run game. Whatever though.
