Georgia can’t be beat at home …

I remember when Erik Ainge broke a Georgia home record back in 04 it was the longest streak in Georgia history, if anybody can do it. It’s us
I remember that game very well. When Tennessee came out for the start of the game, they walked out like some straight Gs!!! They weren’t locking arms and all that, they just walked out like they were approaching the boxing ring. It was awesome!

Recipe for a VOL win IMO
1. UGA has ball first 3 and out, crowd is down a bit.
2. UT grinds out a 1st drive and gets a TD or at least 3 on a FG
3. Keeping the crowd noise low.
4. Defense gets at least 3 sacks and 5 hurries and 1 or 2 TOs
5. This in the most important, play turnover free ball and or at least just have 1 non consequential
6. I think if we win need to keep them below 20 points
7. A lot to ask but the Vols have one of the best Ds in the nation
8 The SEC road is tough even Arkansas was a tough venue

Vols struggle on the road period its a night game . For the Vols to pull off the upset WRs need to catch the ball and no turnovers to start with and the Defense needs to score IMO . But UGA looks beatable this year for sure wish this game was at home .

I know the situation is our biggest adversity this week (on the road, at night, UGA in a “must win”), but have you watched UGA this year? They played very well against Texas and Clemson, but every other game has been a huge struggle, in multiple areas. We’ll see what a mountain of pressure, expectation, and doubt does to their spirit if we throw a couple punches.

Also, their “elite defense” allowed Milroe to run and pass all over them. Meanwhile, we put Milroe in the timeout chair. If the defense shows up to play (which they’ve done all year) we have a great shot.

Records are made to be broken. They cant win every home game and they are very beatable this year.
.. ? Dawgs have not lost at home in 5 years since before the pandemic. Many young Georgia fans have never seen a home loss. Not possible they say.

We beat the mess out of UGA almost every year growing up until Richt became their coach.

My biggest concern is our LBs being out of position. They need to be dialed in
They need to be dialed in and McCoy and Gibson need to put the clamps on their guy so our safeties can help in the run game without us getting burnt on deep passes. Our elite pass rush will help tremendously in that regard. We can beat these guys.

Georgia lost a step last year and lost another one this year. Carson Beck is insanely INT prone. If we've shown anything in the past few weeks, it's that we can certainly play down to a lesser team (which admittedly kinda sucks). That said, we've all seen signs and moments of greatness from this team this season. If the Vols want to remain in control of their own playoff destiny, it begins with winning @Georgia. Go Big Orange!

The home field will be uga's biggest advantage. They may need it too since their o-line ain't real good right now and Beck seems to enjoy throwing it to the other team. Plus this is the weakest version of their defense will have seen for several years due to injuries and some poor play.
Defense is our key to winning. The home field advantage is not as big against the visiting teams defense as it is the offense.

It wouldn't take a perfect game to beat UGA this year. They are nowhere near the level of '22. They will get up for this game, and they will be better because it's home, but they are not superior to us this year. This is as close to even as we have been with them in several years.

Now, I do think we needed to be closer to 100% healthy in this game to be competitive. We have a lot of guys banged up. But who Doesn't at this point in the year. I just worry that a game like this is where the Pili injury shows up.

Can Georgia still win the SEC Championship? Of course they
could. Beating Tennessee would make them 6-2 in conference to
Tennessee’s 5-2, and they’ve already beaten 5-1 Texas. Tennessee’s
offense has been 63.2% run-heavy with its freshman QB Iamaleava,
similar to the run-heavy frequencies of Iowa and UNLV. This is not
the nation’s #2 pass offense being delivered to the ‘Dawgs between
the hedges in what is truly their Game of the Year – that was what
they faced at Ole Miss and giving up 5 field goals to Ole Miss was
not shameful in the least. They need to feed QB Carson Beck some
turnover medication (2-7 TD-INT last three games) but life is all
about second chances and redemption. Tennessee’s Red Zone TD
percentage of 54.2% is in a range with Stanford, Charlotte, App
State, Sam Houston State. GEORGIA, 33-13. - With uga's back against the wall, we need to consider this possibility. THIS is their entire Program on the line.....
