Georgia opens -9.5 vs Vols

I’m not saying that I agree with the spread, but it is not surprising. The game is in Athens against a GA team with their backs against the wall. GA looks vulnerable and is, but you still gotta go to Athens and beat them. That’s not an easy task. If TN wins Saturday it’s a statement, but honestly, all is not lost for the Vols if they lose. I think TN will make the Playoff either way. Well, so long as their trip to Nashville isn’t trouble.

The Dawgs' 2 losses came on the road against 2 of the best teams in the country. The Vols' only loss came on the road against an unranked Ark squad and only managed 14 points. The GA team I saw in the 2nd half against Texas could beat any team in the country, and I think this will be the team that shows up against the Vols. I think the 1st half offensive woes show up once again between the hedges and Ga takes out their frustration from last week's anemic performance against Ol' Miss. I really felt like TN was going to eliminate all doubt about their #1 ranking 2 years ago in Athens, but I hate to admit that I just don't feel that way this year. I sure hope I am proven wrong, but I believe GA wins by at least 17. Regardless of the outcome, this team has exceeded my expectations for this year, and I just want to say, "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!!'

The line may work in our favor: motivation for our stellar defense while getting UGA to buy into the hype of how good they are perceived to be. Kirby can't play the disrespect card because that line is huge given how Georgia has played.

Fanduel has it at 10.5 now.
What is the total these sites are showing? Are they predicting that UT will score 10 or less or are they saying UGA will go off and score more than any other team has against UT's defense.

Would it be in our best interests in the playoff picture for Nico to not play if we were to lose? If we go 10-2 it seems like a loss playing a backup QB might make us more appealing since several pundits are saying a loss tomorrow would knock us out of the playoffs?

I don’t think anybody is confident we are going to beat them like pregame in ‘22. Feels like most folks think we are dead men walking.
Not based off what I'm reading on here. Way too much overconfidence and I just don't get it considering how bad Ga has beaten us down since Smart has been there. I'd feel different if it was at home, but we're 5-6 on the road the last 3 yrs.
