FSU being a dumpster fire is helping UF (that and UF is in the SEC of course which has an appeal) out massively. If both programs are ok equal footing , FSU is the better and more attractive program. But both programs are nowhere near equal footing atm. FSU has a serious culture problem.

And as the poster above said, both can be Elite at the same time still. But it certainly helps the other if the other is a dumpster fire. Like it helped FSU when UF sucked from 2013-2017

If by equal footing you mean an athletic department that isn’t damn near bankrupt, both programs won’t be on equal footing for the foreseeable future.

You know what? I'm man enough to back pedal a little bit. I think both programs would be pretty Equal if both had the same conference and AD copentcy. Maybe way superior is a stretch. I looked up some history and both programs are pretty close to eachother in a lot of categories.

The gap between Florida and the rest of the state is a giant canyon right now. FSU is awful, Miami is very average.

Gator Nation is excited.
