Georgia vs Ball State

The real embarassment is that Georgia is playing these teams. It is a little infuriating with the SEC. I think SEC teams (or at least the bigger programs) should have to play 2 Power 5 teams OOC. Look at Colorado's OOC schedule for example: TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State.

Compare that to Georgia? Georgia is the #1. They should have someone like a Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, etc. on their schedule by now. I know they had to cancel Oklahoma but they could have found someone.

We are not much better, Virginia? We should have had to keep the BYU game.
What team was available that late in the scheduling process? And for the team(s) available, which were lined up willing to play them? You do realize any other year, Colorado is the cupcake on the schedule

Michigan, Ohio State, and USC were available week 1 to play Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, etc. The fact that these programs can't get together and play each other is stupid.

Michigan and Georgia could have looked at each other's schedule and said it was full of cupcakes and played. I agree that things don't work that way but they should. These teams could make it work if they really tried.

Let's say we knew all of these teams were somehow available even though their schedules were set in stone. Which one is lining up to potentially take a week one L and erase margin for error to make the CFP? Bama and Georgia know they have SECCG in their back pocket and only 8 conference games.

I see your point. Still bad for game. This is why we need a central authority (not schools) similar to NFL to schedule games.
