Georgias loss

Am I the only one who thinks UGA looked like the red power ranger in their new uniforms?

I thought Georgia won last year also.Don't know the the score of that game.I do know that georgia tech ran all over them in athens in 2009.They had close to 400 yards rushing.

No UGA had close to 400 yards rushing that year

GA Tech had about 200

I liked 2010's game. The "let the RB go untouched this late because we'd only be down by 8" was genius near the end of the game (and might have had a chance had they not been playing with a backup QB)

I'll get burned alive for saying this, but it's my opinion so eff it. Peyton Manning was a god send for UT. He ignited our fan base to a new level , even though it was already in motion from Shuler. That being said. I'd rather have Bray. Peyton benefitted from a dominant Oline, a beast fullback that could block, two beast tailbacks and recievers at least as good as what we have now. If Bray had an oline like our 94-01 teams had, he'd be in the heisman discussion if not win one.

Fulmer and Richt are a good analogy. Fulmer had Peyton and Richt had David Green. For the most part, once those guys were gone mediocrity set in.

Stafford was better than Greene and if him and Moreno would have stayed another season maybe.. . naw

If you're going on recruiting, then you want Richt to do just well enough to hang on every year, but not poorly enough to actually get fired and replaced by a dynamic new coach. You want him to be a dead man walking long enough that recruiting falls off, and the cupboard looks so bare that top coaches will regard the UGA job the same way that guys like Gary Patterson looked at the UT job after Kiffin left. You want there to be a huge hole to dig out of.

UGA's not that far down yet. From a Machiavellian standpoint, tonight probably isn't a good result for UTK.
great point

I get what your saying as far as the Oline of Peyton's Era etc. But that same Peyton is just Lethal in the NFL! Like Bray, but he is no Peyton!

To quote Billy Madison.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That being said. Roll Tide.

to He11 with UGA.

EVERY LOSS BY GEORGIA HELPS TENNESSEE BECAUSE it accelerates their downward spiral into complete and utter chaos (otherwise known as the Jim Donnan days part 2).

I want Richt there for one more season. I don't want them falling completely on their face. If UGA is too bad this season, they'll get rid of Richt in 2011 and they would find someone more competent in 2012. I'm not wanting that to happen.

Go Dawgs...

All I know is that the uniforms were about as hideous as UGA's Defense. Can anyone make a tackle on their D? Awful.

I'm almost getting to the point where I want Richt to stay afloat for fear that they could get a good coaching staff in place.

I agree! Remember when LSU was awful before Saban came? They were a sleeping giant like Georgia is. All of that talent just needs to be developed and Richt can't do that...I hope they win go like 8-4 and keep Richt

I'd prefer for them to keep Richt (and Richt keep his coaching staff in place). Let them go through several years of this like we did. It will be that much harder for them to dig out when they go get an upgrade on the coaching side.

Or for Richt to tank, and UGA make a bad hire.

A buddy of mine, who is a UGA alum, has already mailed it in for the season. Sent me a text halfway through the third quarter of their game last night and said they were just horrible and will be lucky to win 6 games this season. Hahahahaha! I love it! Before the game they were going to win the SEC , according to him!

Before the game, my UGA alum friend in attendence texted me, "Dawgs are FOR REAL. We dominate." I don't expect to hear from him for a month.

Keep Richt.... He loves God and Jesus.

He's a good man who doesn't cuss and who would they replace him with?
