I like them, pretty sharp looking.

I'm with you I like them as well. Very modern and it caters to the players. Face it times change and players are what matter. They are on the field battling not the fans. Definitely should fit what players like nowadays. Plus its one game.

It's all well and good to try and impress the kids. Sometimes these things are successful (see WVU and TCU). Sometimes the change is hard to even notice (see Bama). But these UGA outfits are just horrible. I hated the Boise St pro combats, but UGA's make those look brilliant by comparison.

That is not an accurate statement. Not all the players are in favor of dressing like power rangers.
Didn't say all but I bet the majority would. Did you see how many Vol players commented on the pro combat Jerseys last year and how much they liked them and wished we had Nike? Quite a few..As I have said this isn't the early 1900s and things change. Like it or not its life. Black is our 3 rd color and that's obvious from all the fan gear that's loaded with orange, white and black. Black is a great 3rd color that goes well with our primary colors. Alot of people defend Adidas and they have tons of apparel With black. Especially their scorch gear. That actually looks good.

Quite a few =/= majority.
Black looks only decent with our colors. It's too reminiscent of Halloween.
exactly, you say "I bet the majority would". You are still inserting your preference upon the assumption of an entire generation. Also, the Tennessee does not cater to the players, the players play for Tennessee. If a player wants to wear that crap, go sign with Maryland.
They catered to them when they asked to wear black. Yes the Majority. You must not have kids is all I'm going to say.

Well, given that the people in charge of that decision were also children, it sort of taints the discussion.
Also, I never hear anything from players at Bama, Oklahoma, Texas, or Penn St clamoring for spiffy new jerseys. What makes those kids different from the ones at UT or UGA?

They asked to wear black Jerseys for Halloween. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Bama players are too busy hanging out at a suit store in Tuscaloosa. Not to mention the ones who hung out in mobile with the Guy who tried to get Tee Martin busted. Gotta love the saints who run that campus. Now we need a current player to be a cocaine dealer and overlooked by our coach until he got arrested and it had to be done. Or a QB like Tyler Watts who gets drunk after a loss and runs up and down McFarland busting car windows out and the cops letting him go. Oh to be a straight and narrow Bam.

The captains made the decision. That does not necessarily mean the majority wanted them.
I'm not saying I'm against black jerseys- I liked them, it was an awesome motivator for a Halloween game. They should be worn once every several years, and that is it.
Tennessee is not Virginia Tech, Boise State, FSU, Oregon, or any of the other pro-combat-wearing schools. We're better than that.
Well unfortunately right now all those teams you listed are better than us right now. Just guessing I bet the captains took a poll and majority won out. Knowing EB and the type of teammate he was everyone was involved with the decision. The captains made the decision. That does not necessarily mean the majority wanted them.
