what's all this about Gerald going elswhere? Who was it that said Phil is a strong closer? Somebody tell me the last time we finished strong on NSD? Is it wrong that my emotions are at the whim of teenagers? Come on Phil, do something. Actually I think Phil will get Gerald locked in if he's not already.

It seems over the last few years we have perpetually been on the fringes of a top 25 class, to wind up with a top5-10 class when signing day is over... that has given Phil a reputation for being a strong closer.

Honestly I think Gerald could be used kindda like Percy Harvin is used. I think he'd be a great guy to line up at WR most of the time, put him at RB for a few plays a game and sometimes at QB in the gun.

The source of the trouble with G. Jones is none other than Mike Leach who is negatively recruiting against UT by telling Gerald that UT is going to play him at CB.

Leach is a liar, Fact is fact if Fulmer and Taylor tell you something you can take it as fact cause that is what will happen.

If I were recruiting him it would be at RB. He's tough and needs the ball... alot.

how does Leach know what they're gonna use him for??..He doesnt! So why even believe what another coach says about a program he isn't even associated with.

Unless you have been through this process its hard for someone to understand.. All of these coaches talk to all of these so called recruiting experts and all of the experts talk to other experts from different areas and it all gets back around.. Its a big mess that I promise you...

How right you are, Millwood

and for a 17, 18 year old young man it can get really confusing.

Not saying that it is going to happen, but kids get lied to all of the time in this process... This is where they will spend the next 3-5(or in Jason Whites case 7, lol just kiddin) years of there lives... From the times i have dealt with Caldwell, Phil, and Trooper, they seem to be pretty genuine people.. But hey who would have ever thought Preachers would Molest children, kind of a bad analogy but pretty truthful.. Even people that seem to be great people can mislead someone...
