i dont know. ad for oklahomo is in a weaker conference and will proably get more rushing yards. but i can see him being the best back in the draft next year.

I'm with you JSB2277..I think that Riggs will be one of the top backs in the country..i believe peterson will be one of them too. But ultimately i think the running back from North Texas will be the top back. Tennessee will have a real good balance in their offense, so Riggs should get more yards than last.

Riggs looked so impressive. he got 1,000 yds rushing on half the carries anormal back does. i hope the best for him this year. im also happy he lost his attitude this year and steped up for us.

to quote Bill Murray in Caddyshack " i have to laugh." Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson are a couple of reasonable backs.

i dont know about reggie bush being a resaonble back but i hope our defense proves it to me after we play them this year. ;)

Riggs has the best opportunity to shine due to the Vols offensive balance. Now if we could get that secondary fixed.

he might be top 5....Michael Heart, Peterson, Bush, and Summers are all amazing..he will have tough competition

how did you come up with that. he is rank the 15th best impact player for next year. i would really rip our football program if that happened

Foster is supposed to be the real deal.

Remember, he doesn't have a single carry yet. Riggs was "supposed to be the real deal" too... for 2 years prior to finally getting to shine this past season.

Absolutely right Allvol. It's all conjecture which is why I make a concerted effort to NOT get wrapped up in all the recruiting talk. It's always funny to see people commenting on 18 year olds who they've never even seen take a snap before. People have to understand that 80% of these guys will never be more than a role player and another 5-10% of them are going to be absolute busts.

The real funny part is when people start changing who they think will contend for the National Championship in '05 based upon recruiting.

Even funnier than that is watching how a kid is treated like a god until the day he commits elsewhere when he becomes a stupid kid with a bad attitude that is making a mistake who we didn't need anyway.

Right on guys. You cannot reasonably expect our recruiting class to be the basis of a NC run in '05. 2006 a definite expectation. Coker, Yancey, Foster. Who knows. The best of those 3 will step forward. But, next year? The biggest impact we will have from freshmen will be at one of the 4 DB positions. One of them will have to prove their true freshman worth and go from the horn. Riggs has the talent. Showed this year that he is explosive. There is a lot of luck involved in a NC run. If everything falls into place for him health wise, OL performance, work ethic to finally show his real talent, etc., he could very well be top 5. But, you have some other backs mentioned above that have already performed and are doing so in weaker conferences. He will be running against typical SEc defenses and will have to work harder to earn his keep. He will however put up 1000+ yards and go well in the draft.

He COULD be the best RB next year but many others have shown promise also. I think it's more about the talent that was lost to the NFL.

Ronnie Brown, Auburn
Carnell Williams, Auburn
Cedric Benson, Texas
Anthony Davis, Wisconsin
J.J. Arrington, California
Ciatrick Fason*, Florida
Vernand Morency*, Oklahoma State
Frank Gore*, Miami (Fla)
T.A McLendon*, North Carolina State
Ryan Moats*, Louisiana Tech

Notice we faced alot of these backs last year. What about that Dorsey kid from UNLV, that kid could run, Barry like.
