3-9 implies that they will lose to every team that is better than them. They'll be competitive in too many of the 9 games to lose them all.

Remember BigPapaCat's opinion = The opinion of the entire fanbase.

Sadly it's usually the exact opposite. I'm definitely one of the more level headed KY fans around Lexington. The majority are a embarrassment to the state, school, and normal population that don't give a crap about what happened in the past.

So fans shouldn't care about the past of their respective programs?

There's a difference in thinking about the past and enjoying history and then dwelling on the bad moments constantly.

I've never come across a KY basketball fan who doesn't care about the past of the program.

Maybe I should have explained in detail more. I was typing fast and the sentence doesn't even make sense now that I re-read it.

Naturally UK basketball fans think about the past. It's filled with lots of good memories (and bad ones). But imo, the past is useless in sports. Sure, it's nice to have championships and fun times in the back of your head, but it's better to think about the present and prepare to have new good memories for the next generation to remember.

I don't like dwelling on losses and bad games in history. I hate the fans that wear things like the "I still hate Laetnerr shirts" and stuff like that. It's funny, but gets annoying as hell. Especially when I see it with kids my age. We don't even remember the game. My parents talk about sometimes, but they don't have a grudge. Most of my family on my moms side hates Latenerr. Personally, I think dwelling on the past is useless. In 20 years, the UK v UT 2011 game will be a bad moment in UT history, and i'm sure we'll have the same people talking about how UK robbed UT (as usual).

I'm sorry if I don't make sense sometimes. I typically try to make my response quickly and end up sounding like a complete moron (which is what I might be anyway). Not to mention I have the lights down in my room and can hardly see what my fingers are hitting. I just kinda pray it turns out the way I meant it to turn out.

If the past doesn't matter to you, then you need to turn in your "8th National Championship" T-Shirt.

And, Laettner, not Lattener.

Too many losses on defense, no receiving corps, and Max Smith at QB.

3-9 at best.

Max is turning heads at practice - I look forward to seeing him at the blue/white game. I worry more about the WRs and the entire D than I do about QB/RB. It's just going to be a year where we'll have to win games on grit and not talent and I'm not sure we have the coaching staff to do that. I don't think Joker is a bad coach but when you're on a hot seat like he is you end up getting guys like Rick Minter and it makes it tough. Joker Phillips is going to be on WKJK in Louisville tomorrow so I look forward to hearing some more about the football team. I love basketball but that's over - it's football season now.

I think they win 5 and get a new coach - UKVOLS, you busy 12 Saturdays a fall?

I usually go to away games at UF, USC, and UGA, whenever UT plays at those places, because of the proximity. And, I make it to a few home games. I also went to UK last year (ugh) and to Ole Miss in 2009 to see The Grove. And, I coughed up the 90 bucks for the NCSU game this year.

I try to never attend games on 3 consecutive weekends, and I only attend 2 straight when it involves can't-miss games. It wears me out to make the trip too often consecutively.

To answer the question, no, I'm not busy for all 12. Well, except for updating my ratings website.

I make a few Jags games too, but never a 1pm game the day after a college road trip.

I think most people have at least one bad moment in the past they dwell on. Mine is the 2006 USCe @ UF football game.
