I kinda thought that the post was funny also. Some people need to lighten up. Phil recruited well for a long time, but being able to instill discipline and coach up the talent he had, somehow passed him by!

once upon a time phil had some good recruiting classes, but what did he do with that talent? now Kiffin talks about position depth issues due to recruiting. i dont think Kiffin was blaming it all himself there. to say Fulmer's last years were good recruiting years is just silly. Phil is not here anymore, let it go! The point now is that CLK will be taking a helicopter to high school games!! :rock:

I doubt very much that Kurt Roper, Trooper Taylor or Adkins as previous recruiting coordinators applied the same kind of energy, organization and evaluation skills as this staff does.

Fulmer was always considered a great 'closer', but the recruiting game changed significantly the past 5+ years with Saban, Richt, Meyers, Shannon at Miami, Davis at NC all ramping up competition in our former hunting grounds. It did seem like last year's staff had added some new energy to recruiting before they were shown the door, but it was still nothing like the manic energy, focus and organization applied to recruiting by this staff in addition to the guerilla marketing techniques and psychological tactics Kiffin has deployed which have been just amazing to behold.

based on our 270 pound O linemen and our 5 foot 8 inch middle linebacker who is now hurt and all being walk ons i think the recruiting creds are out the window. So "Not so fast there my friend!"

I was thinking a lil bigger. They looked like they are struggling to even breath in there. Idk, haha i had i expectations. It is bad@$$ tho. I wish someone recorded the entrence. I bet that was crazy.

Out of 15 pics in the slide show, UT was represented in 3 of them. Not bad for an GA paper's coverage of a HS game. And for those of you upset because it's not Donald Trump's ride, ask yourself this...how many of the kids on that field do you think have ever had any coach show up for their game by copter? Much less having been in one themselves. Jeez....
