Yep. Injustice isn't colorblind. It only strikes people with brown skin.

:fool:

Of course it's colorblind.

Yet it's funny how white people forget how pretty easy it is to be white.

Besides, since "white people" have treated all minorities with such injustice, maybe white people need to have a little bit to see what the other foot is like.

Planet of the Apes comes to mind.

Maybe, just maybe, justice begins with people like you and me deciding that all injustice is bad and we stop trying to make it about race. What if we just agree that bad things happen to people of all races?

If you think it is easy to be white, then you are in the 'grass is greener' mentality. Do people of color face different challenges? Good chance. That does not mean that just because you are white life is a bed of roses.

The stories I can tell you about so many of the little white kids in my wife's class at school would just make you cry. Child abuse knows no color. Neither does hunger.

Why don't we stop boohooing about race and treat injustice, all injustice, as wrong and stop belittling the experiences of other people because of their race?

Sure. I can easily agree to that. That all races experience tough times. However, in the history of this country, whites have probably faced the least in the grand scheme of things, no?

Of course not. Again, all people face different challenges. However, whites usually aren't going to face challenges because of the color of their skin like most minorities will encounter at some point of their life.

All injustice is wrong. But we at some point have to address why there is injustice. This is the problem today "Well, all people face injustice, so let's just not talk about race." Well, that's not how it works. All people face injustice, yet there are different kinds. Why not try and improve it? Oh, because it makes us uncomfortable.

By the way, my comment was directed more towards a certain poster, who always complains about being blamed for everything because he is white (aka NEOCON), so part of my post was sarcasm.
