I don't understand why he was asked/told to leave just for wearing the hoodie? Is there a dress code for Congress and if there is - wtf?

The case has gotten out of hand but the reaction to him wearing a hoodie is ridiculous.

Besides, since "white people" have treated all minorities with such injustice, maybe white people need to have a little bit to see what the other foot is like.

You can't be serious. If you are, I hope you are not in a position of authority.

You aren't allowed to wear anything on your head in the chamber.

He was given the option to take the hood off his head. He knew exactly what would happen and that was his intent all along.

So why give him the ammo? I'd have told him he was violating the dress rule and waited out his allocated time.

That would set a terrible precedent. The system is screwed up, for sure, but there ought to be an appropriate sense of tradition and decorum in the halls of government. Otherwise you wind up with fistfights like they have in several Asian parliaments.

Yet it's funny how white people forget how pretty easy it is to be white.

Yeah, being white is just so "easy". We get handouts all the time. Free money, never get screwed.

Besides, since "white people" have treated all minorities with such injustice, maybe white people need to have a little bit to see what the other foot is like.

Born in '87. Anybody in my generation cannot claim that. People like you, spewing this BS, is the reason this country has not and will not in the foreseeable future get past race.

People in your generation also don't have the pespective of older people (black and white) who remember a time when race relations were a bit more volatile than this Trayvon Martin "puddle" the media is turning into the Atlantic Ocean.

Yep. I would never say that about the older black generation that lived pre mid 70's. However, I smh at the minorities in my generation that talk about the "struggle".
