I never understood why Austin Rogers wasn't able to tackle Zach Follett in the Cal game. Austin was chasing him. Follett not only got away, but gained separation.
Follett forced the fumble, he wasn't the one that recovered it. Also, the guy that took it to the house did not gain seperation. At worst, Rogers maintained the same distance.

Rogers just doesn't look too quick on this play.
Not sure why, but at about the 10 second mark Rogers starts to slow down. He probably thought the play was dead. Also, at about 45 seconds you get a better look at how far away Rogers was when Williams picked up the ball.
why stay silent then? why not go ahead and commit? guys that have committed still take visits, so what's the point?
I'd say he was closer at the time of the fumble than where he ended up. Williams slowed up a bit inside the 5 when it was obvious he was getting the TD.
You're talking about two guys with alleged forty times separated by less than a tenth of a second (Rogers and Williams). I'm not sure why people think Rogers should have caught Williams, particularly after Rogers slowed up.
