Where was he on the depth chart there?

He was more or less 2nd string his freshman year and and was considered the lead back going into next season with 74 carries. He had 69 touches his sophomore year and was pretty much considered the 3rd string back by the end of the year behind two freshmen. He was widely speculated as the 4th string Back going into this season.

The younger backs that overtook him were bigger and stronger. Pickett has consistent issues creating yards after contact.

He was an early freshman favorite of Coach Edsall for being a "buy in" kind of guy. It started to become very evident his sophomore year that there were now other backs on campus whose talent level was going to be too hard to ignore.

Thanks for the info but it's not like he's poised to be our feature back. He's more of a change of pace guy. He could/can help that way.

Don't hold your breath. The Ncaa will probably wait till the quarterly fondue party to make a decision.
