Big deal! What the heck would she care? She's definitely the beneficiary of that deal.

It's one thing to run around on your wife. It's a bit slimy, but whatever. Happens all the time, unfortunately.

But when it happens and somebody uses the excuse they did it out of love for their country, then it's ripe for mockery.

Doesn't really change my opinion one way or the other of Newt the politician.

To clarify, I mean that there is nothing wrong with having an open relationship if both parties agree.

The conversation probably went something like "Look, I'm going to **** around one way or the other, just giving you a heads up."

Really? A bombshell? Failed marriages, affairs, this practically makes him more of a "normal" person in SC and America for that matter. People can relate to him now. He isn't a stuffy rigid white haired millionaire he's like "us."

It's sad this is an issue. I get the infidelity stuff. But the fact that he wanted an open marriage shouldn't be a surprise and frankly, should be a private matter that is none of our business. Will it affect how he handles the economy or deals with Iran? You know, the stuff that really matters?

I guess so goes the life of a public servant.

Making him "normal" in SC would require some sort of background working at a gas station... Just sayin

I agree. As it is, nothing can make me think less of Newt than his policy stances.

To call Newt or anyone running for POTUS a public servant is hilarious. They're all self-servant.

Alshon doesn't think that is funny.

Seriously, watching him explain himself and discussing how he sought God reminds me of so many people in SC. He just drives more expensive cars and wears more expensive clothes, the behavior that is supposedly a bombshell is actually all too common.

Most Washington elite have an unstated open marriage policy anyway...at least that is how they act.
