Here is the part that I don't get: Newt cheated on his first wife with his mistress. The mistress married him. Then, she wants to be all upset and surprised when he cheated on her. Putz.

These are the same members of the media who, when Clinton was caught, said it was a person's own business.

Now it's a major issue.

I agree with a few in here. I don't think any less of Newt. No matter what. This didn't make any difference. Pretty sure there's no way I could, anyway.

Newt thought the Clinton nob job was a major issue. He led the impeachment proceedings against Clinton while at the same time Newt was having one of his affairs. That sounds like a hypocrite to me.

I am definitely no fan of Newt, but surely you see the difference between breaking the law (perjury) which the constitution tells us to impeach the president for and cheating on your wife which merely makes you a scumbag?

Yes I do realize there is a difference. Clinton was 100% wrong not only did he lied under oath he lied to the American people. He sat in front of the camera and pointed his finger at the camera and said that he did not have sexual relations with that woman. Clinton was guilty.

Newt was being a hypocrite during the Clinton ordeal. He was selling to the people how bad Clinton was for doing such a thing while he was cheating on his wife at the same time. Shortly after the news broke about Newts affair he resigned, of course the GOP letting him know they would not allow him to retain his leadership roll is what
pushed Newt out of the House.

I still don't understand why Clinton had to go before a grand jury to begin with. Nor do I think this is a big deal with Newt. However, Newt leading Clinton's impeachment while having his own affair tells me everything I should ever need to know about the guy.

When Newt breaks a law somehow in this scandal, I'll agree. Until then, it's not the same.

Once again, Newt probably isn't getting my vote, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy in the media (nothing new there).

As ill conceived as the impeachment was, don't forget that Clinton wasnt impeached for having an affair.

It's almost as if Lewinsky was some sort of subordinate to the president and working for him, or something.

It's almost as if she were 27 years younger than Bill and there was a Grand Jury hearing on the goings on in which perjury occurred. Almost.

Every man wants an open marriage. The difference is, most of us have the good sense to keep quiet about it.
