Julie Beaulieu

Julie Beaulieu is a Lecturer for the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Program. She received her PhD in Literature with a certificate in GSWS from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research and teaching interests include the history of sexuality, global LGBTQ studies, transgender studies, eighteenth-century British literature, queer theory, feminist theory, and affect theory. She is currently working on her first book manuscript, entitled, Obsessive Love: A Queer History.

Truckers will swear that the prettiest girls are from Dothan, AL (you have to catch 'em young; they get married at 16).

Auburn's administrators will confess that they aggressively recruit coeds from Georgia to "prettify" the campus and lure football recruits.

ND frat boys will tell you that Catholic girls get frisky when they're drunk, and they're always offering alcohol to coeds.

Sportscasters will aver that SEC schools have more good looking coeds per capita. Their cameramen will all try for up-the-skirt shots of USC Song Girls and confide that they believe the SGs are sluts.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
