Did she black her eye from the recoil and the scope ?

That scope looks like it's set pretty far back for my shooting preference, but maybe it's perfect for your needs.

Certainly wouldn't want to try that from prone...though I'd imagine most 30/30's don't spend much time shot from that position.

No she shot it fine and has taken 2 deer with it. The relief on those old Simmons scopes is awkward, I wouldn't let her wear eye pro in case she did let it hit her it wouldn't send a lense into her face, she's really strong and can handle any rifle so far, I need to show y'all her shooting my buddy's Barrett .50.
