Give the trophy to the Pats

yeah... nothing worse than drooling over a team that is 5-0, loaded with a great qb and top notch receivers and a defense that comes up big time and again. that great qb has thrown at least 3 tds each game. Not to mention the team hasn't even been tested.

You had it right we are only 5 games into it

No surprise, the media drools over them every year...

Hopefully my cowboys will put an end to this next week.

Patriots are loaded, but the year the whole "patriots dynasty" started.. they were supposed to get straight up embarassed by the Rams who were loaded, so really who knows what'll happen?

((I guess add that "who knows" to the most obvious post ever, but anywho..))

The Colts are just waiting in the wings this season. Here they are undefeated also and the defending SB champs and getting no respect at all. Before the Pats even get to Indy they are just one big injury or one Randy Moss flare up from ending thier dream season.

Not a pats fan, but they just went into Dallas and handled the cowboys with their 3rd string tailback and having Moss as their third leading receiver. Wes Welker is a player

The only thing I will say about that is it seems the two teams have switched roles. The Colts are quietly winning while the Pats are putting up big numbers and getting all the media hype like the Colts did in years past.

The Colts are still king of the hill until they get knocked off.

the difference is the pats have a sb caliber defense and the offense is doing anything it wants.

i don't see the pats going undefeated, just hard to imagine in this day and age in the NFL, but they'll be a favorite, justifiably so, in every game they play.

but they got the colts, steelers still left on the schedule. both can beat them......will they? i can't say yes on either, and i'm a huge steeler fan......and i got that game as an L on the schedule.....

You never know though. The Colts didn't have a SB caliber defense but still won it.

I agree though they look unstoppable at this point.

exactly...the colts were a little hot and cold last year on the d, and it got hot at the right time.

the pats this year have been one of the best NFL teams i've ever seen, so far.

consistent at all phases, mistakes they make, are few and far between, and in the end don't matter with how they make adjustments thru out the game.

this is as complete a team as i can remember.....

Yeah, I can't figure it out either.

I didn't see anyone complaining about the Colts and Manning being drooled over all those years they were winning big, in the regular season.

Rodney Harrison missed the first few games. Maroney has been out. Stallworth and Welker did just fine last Sunday against a better defense than the Colts.

My team is the Phins, and they are god awful. I look for them to give the Pats a tough game. Even during the Superbowl years, often the Phins were the ones to give the Pats trouble. Tom Brady was once quoted with being "baffled by the phins" I am all about the first round draft pick next year, but please please win this game for me phins.

The Cowboys defense isn't much better, if any, than the Colts'. The Dallas secondary is pretty weak.

It didn't really help matters that it was apparently Wade Phillips' plan to allow Brady to throw for about 4000 yards.

The Patriots game blew up up the Cowboys defensive stats, but before that game they were similar/better than the Colts, but not by a lot like you said.

Not with the way the offensive line is playing. You could run for 80-100 yrds with them right now. I honestly believe that the RB position is the easiest of the skilled positions to plug someone in without a major let down. Look at Indy, the plug in Kieth for Addai and he runs for over 100yrds against a solid Tampa defense.

Roy Williams may be the most one dimensional safety in the league. He's known for his hitting, but cannot cover anyone. Kenny Hamlin is a nice safety. Newman is a pretty good man-coverage guy and is their best DB. Anthony Henry is probably below average, but he has been banged up.

It didn't help Tampa that Garcia didn't have Williams or Pittman on offense to help him. Indy played a great game against TB no doubt, but TB's offense just couldn't stay on the field and that wore out the defense.
