Give the trophy to the Pats

Roy Williams may be the most one dimensional safety in the league. He's known for his hitting, but cannot cover anyone. Kenny Hamlin is a nice safety. Newman is a pretty good man-coverage guy and is their best DB. Anthony Henry is probably below average, but he has been banged up.

Roy Williams should be a linebacker

that they do, but I imagine a very fired up Brady and Belicheck to show Indy what they can do when they finally have top notch receivers
Colts have great recievers also. I think these two teams are on a level no other NFL team is on.

i never said they didn't, in fact i've bragged about manning's receiving corps for years. I even remember somebody on here tried to tell me that Marvin Harrison was a nobody until Peyton. fun times that was.

My point is Brady has never had the receiving corps Manning had. Now he does. It will be fun to see what happens.

That's pretty much true. He didn't have a great year until his fourth year, Manning's second.

he started with two straight seasons over 800 yds in receptions. While not great, it's not horrible for a newcomer in the league. Not mention quarterback greats Jim Harbaugh, Kelly Holcomb and Paul Justin were getting him the ball. They also had this kid named Marshall Faulk who got the bulk of the offense. You might have heard of him.

Deion Branch was pretty solid. Additionally, the Pats O-line is the best at passing protection there is. Brady never, ever goes down. They're both great QBs. This year, Brady will have the edge in the WR department.

the thing about Brady and the sacks, additionally, is look at how long the ball is in has hands. very rarely do you see him standing there scanning down feild waiting on a route to open up. usually quick plays.

now, having the wideouts he has, the big play is more of factor, giving opposing defenses a ton to worry about. the pats are very good, and should they lose, it will be because of something they do mistake wise. i don't see anyone just lining up and "beating" them straight up.

Not too shabby. Harrison is one of the most underrated players in the NFL, and while having Manning tossing the ball to him hasn't hurt he would be a stud anywhere.

careful now. if we start giving any credit to anyone not named manning, trouble is bound to happen.

Really? He makes it to the Pro Bowl every year. He gets plenty of credit. I don't think he's underrated, just underexposed. Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith get more time.

I think the problem (and possibly the point) is the same here. Ocho Cinco and TO get more time on the airwaves and the casual fan who thinks they are a hardcore fan only sees and hears about them on ESPN and the pregame shows. I would put Harrison's moves and techniques up against anybody in the league. No one can get their feet down better than Harrison. But for some reason, TO and 85 get all the pub. Give me Harrison every day of the week over those two, and twice on Sunday.

Patriots playing pretty good today.

Brady has 291 yards and 5 touchdowns. The score is 42-7.

And it is half time.

The Pats are a machine. They are everything you want your football team to be.

Im not ready to give them the trophy just yet but im pretty close.

I wonder how long their linebackers & Harrison can keep playing at the level they play at considering their age aside from A.Thomas & Colvin.

They still got to play the Steelers, Ravens & Giants but I dont know if any of those teams are as good on D as the Colts.

Its hard to cheer for the Patriots with the media smooching their behinds every chance they get.

I hope the Titans get to play em somewhere along in the playoffs just to see if they can block Fat Albert & the gang

I think the Pats faced the best D that they will face all year today. I just dont see a team out there that can beat the Pats.

They also have the Giants at the end of the season. If they are 15-0 and the Giants need that game for the playoffs, it could happen.
