Given That...

Who on UT's team would you consider a strong penetrator?

Prince and I can't really think of anyone else.

Good things happen when Maze drives the lane against the zone everyone should be playing against us. I can't figure out why they do it so little.

You are correct in your assertion. Nobody on the team shoots it consistently enough to warrant attention outside 15 feet. I'm not sure why anyone goes out more than 7 or 8 feet on Prince when he is in the game.

Prince is the only one i've seen that can 'create' a shot, other than Tyler Smith.....and he gets really creative. i knew we'd miss Smith and Lofton, but i didn't think it'd be this much.

prince and Tyler Smith are the two that come to mind first, but Hopson, Tabb and Tatum have all shows flashes here and there.

my point is though, we may very well have some very good penetrators, but we won't know it until defense are forced to guard us outside some.

right now we drive the lanes and are forced to take a lot of contested shots, a lot of bad shots.

also how many times have we tried to make that extra pass underneath and it create a turnover?

i believe all those troubles underneath, with no ture big man (though i do think Chism has gotten better, and if Williams can develop that hook shot he could be a good inside guy), are the direct result of having zero outside game. there's absolutely no reason for opposing defenses to open any lane to us.

Give the guy some credit. He is a strong protester of every foul called against him.

Isn't that the truth. I wish someone would biatch slap him at times as he hasn't proven to be a man yet and doesn't deserve a punch.

At this point in time there is absolutely no reason for any team to play man vs us. We are going to see a version of the zone defense until further notice.

How dare you? Many on this board will gladly tell you that Prince is a future NBA star who will play point guard, fix the American economy, and bring peace to the Middle East simultaneously.

If JP Prince plays in the NBA I will go to the nearest Great Clips and eat all the hair of the floor.

Gonzaga has proven to be what they have been for the last 5 years: A tissue soft bunch of overhyped offensive minded losers who will beat a hasty retreat come March. If Tennessee can't handle that crew in their own building, they needn't worry about being active the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

The Muppets (Gonzo) are overrated by ESPN every year. Each November, they are hyped as a Final-Four candidate by ESPN, probably because a fair portion of their games end up on the ESPN network.
