After helping win a huge NC for a university, I'd hate to know I OWED the fanbase even MORE by devoting my entire coaching career to only be at that school, especially if I didn't seem too particular about who was coaching.
I've been embarrassed the last week over this Tee crap. Some posters I've read are worse than Bama fans and living around a ton of those idiots, that's saying a lot. Let the man live his life. Being a VFL doesn't mean he owes any of you jack. He isn't going to change what he and his family wants to make some piece of crap fans happy. You bashing a man for making a decision you don't like means you are no more of a VFL than he is. So go away.

It was the FIRST time Tee was offered a job at UT. Might have wanted to go through the process and might have really wanted it but been promised more. Can't argue with $$ or titles.

I have no way of knowing how good you were, but I'll just take a guess that UT fans everywhere are glad you didn't play for the Vols too.:dance2:

I believe the fans that are upset, are upset at what is perceived to be a slight by Tee....he shows up to interview and then turns us down....seems like payback for not being offered before when he expressed his desire to coach here with Dooley.....on top of that, he turns us down to go the one man who deserves most of the blame for the decline of our Football team....

I am neither here nor there on Tee....he is a grown ass man and can make his own decision in supporting his family....but he had to know the blowback that would be associated with the decision...

This is just my own opinion of what I have heard and read....

GO VOLS

The funny thing is that it's the exact opposite for someone wanting to become a professor. You're advised to build credentials from universities other than the one you graduated from. That way it builds a great reputation for the university as a whole. So why not let Mr. Martin build up some more expereince before he comes back home? My degree looks much better when searching for jobs in Las Vegas because it's from UT as opposed to having a degree from UNLV............horrible school by the way.
