Ive seen 90+
I’ve seen 100

That’s how many plays Clemson ran.

Most teams fold like a cheap tent. Tennessee never blinked, never quit, and kept coming. Kept being physical, kept bringing pressure. With a limited rotation on the back end Tennessee found a way. In 4 quarters the Tennessee defense gave up 14 points, 2 FGs, 1 TD, and 2pt Conversion. When Clemson crossed the 50 Tennessee turned up the intensity even more. Different looks, different pressures, creating confusion for Clemson and the young QB.

You’ll never convince me Clemson didn’t let their egos get the best of them. They came in taking Tennessee lightly because they’re Clemson.

So go ahead Dabo and flip our burgers and give us some oranges too.
Some people need to give Banks defense some credit you know the one's that have been calling for his head .

It’s only brought on by himself. He has made plenty of mistakes and a lot are pushed off on Martinez. His group had ups and downs but they played great when it mattered most and he deserves full credit for that.

I work in the service industry in the Charleston area.
The amount of Clemson gear I've had to see over the last few days and just bite my tongue...
I'm not scheduled for work tomorrow but I'm going in anyway wearing my UT hat.
It's going to be so nice to greet those Clemson fans with a big smile while wearing the power T.

Getting some OT. Nice

Guy complained about athletes getting paid to the point to where he said he would quit if it happened. All while he lives in a 15000 sq ft house and has his own golf course. That should be brought up to every single kid recruited by Clemson. Also anyone that follows recruiting knows the Clemson recruited been flashing stacks of cash they get for years.

Add in his "opt out the bowl, opt out the whole year" and "we don't need to use the portal" and the Dab could sum his recruiting blueprint as "I'm not a players coach" and "it's time SC got more goodies".

The only positive to Dabo Swinney is Clemson hired him as the head coach in 2009, the job that Fulmer wanted and assumed he would get given the "body of work he'd accumulated as a head coach", such that Fulmer and his opinion of his success didn't get the job and he never coached another down of football.

But South Florida and the 2022 Orange Bowl will be remembered as Clemson's 2001 SEC Championship game, where the team began their slow but steady collapse given the changing landscape of college football, where ACC programs come to die.

I'll cut him a little slack if he said that before South Carolina. We were number 1 at that time and it wasn't a cheap shot. South Carolina was like a 4 alarm fire where the house burned down with your pet in it (metaphor for Hooker's ACL). Also, I doubt that Dabo was singing the Heisman praises that announcers were during the game for his true freshman QB.

The fact that the announcers pumped Klubnick up so much (He hadn't lost since 6th grade) gave the impression that Dabo thought the same thing. I guarantee you, he knew he had a freshman QB and was coaching him up all during the game. The announcers did a disservice to that kid pumping him like they did in the first half. (It stopped around middle of the 3rd quarter). Ha.. His field goal kicker didn't do Klubnick any favors, but thats a sidebar.

Bottom line, Dabo was blowing smoke and crowing about at least making it to a championship game, even though the ACC schedule was like playing a whole conference of Vanderbilts and he had some big scares along the way.
These programs are all about image when it comes to recruiting and Dabo's comments were trying to keep the mystique alive after the departure of Trevor Lawrence.

Will be interesting to see if a similar thing happens to Bama when Bryce Young leaves. Sure they load up, but by golly we got Nico and Texas has Manning and others are loading up too. That mystique bubble, once burst, is hard to reclaim. You can't just be a car salesmen, like Butch Jones, and I put Dabo's comments here in that category. Pure Marketing.

Not built defensively… uh, how many points did his team put up on our team that isn’t built defensively??
That statement was accurate even though it backfired on dabo. This team has so far been built to score lots of points even though we are beginning to recruit for def talent
