brother-in-law and lots of cousins went to Bama, uncle taught there, several friends who are Bama fans.

Texas - i have practically zero connection except that I lived in Austin for 3 years. Nothing against the
'Horns, but every time someone there said "UT," it made me cringe.

I would much rather our close rival (and some people pretty close to me) celebrate and keep the attention in the conference than to see some Big 12 school (not to mention another "UT") get it.

I care that Bama loses one game every year - the rest of it I'm basically fine if they win.
