I hate bama, but I refuse to cheer for ND. They are always overhyped and loved by the media, want to remain independent, yet take in all the rewards and money, and practically get away with murder. I also hate schools with religious affiliations, and ND is the prime example. I wouldn't shed a tear if their entire campus burned down.

I was pulling for K-State a couple weeks ago, but I want Bama to put ND in its place.

I have no idea how a VOL fan can cheer or pull for bama....I would rather cheer for cuba and other communist countries than bama buck fama

I'm with you. I don't think recruits buy the come lose to the best teams in the country pitch. Especially when we are recruiting against the teams winning the NCG.

I lived in Indiana until I turned 15, and grew up a Notre Dame fan. I attended Tennessee after moving there, but have remained a Notre Dame fan.

So I actually know who Vegas Ferguson is. Stud RB on the Montana teams of the mid-70s. That was a quite a season in 1977, helped get me hooked on college football.

So yeah...go Irish! Crush Satan and his evil crimson minions....:rock:

Agreed 100% I bet some of us vol fans can name every coach they've had since bear in order without looking it up while they couldn't...since they started being fans in 2009

Earliest childhood football memories were watching Notre Dame highlights to the call of Mr. New Year's Day Lindsey Nelson during the 1977 season followed by John Ward and Johnny Majors' first season on Sunday mornings.

Ah, the memories of youth!

Do you guys not understand that not only is this conference pride deal retarded at this point, but Notre Dame is independent!

1. If ND wins, technically no conference is dethroning the SEC.
2. The SEC pride stuff is retarded. It's about to be 7 IN A ROW! When it gets to 30 in a row and none of those include Tennessee would you still be cheering GO BAMA!


... I'll never understand this mentality. Screw bama and the rest of the SEC.. Always.
