If bama wins, I figure it's more of an excuse for 1 or 2 loss SEC teams to get in the championship game. Could (should) be us one day...So roll tide. For the time being.

Either way, Texas is having trouble with Nebraska. All Nebraska has is a D-line. They will get demolished if they play for the NC.

I don't care about your posts or your reasoning. You could never convince me to pull for good ol' Bama. You obviously feel the need to justify your position multiple times. Go for it and have fun. I am for anyone who plays Alabama unless that team is Florida in which case the evil almost cancels out and I don't watch or have a favorite.

I have family that are Bama fans. Nothing wrong with them. THey have season tickets, which I used this year for the TN/Bama game. I'm about the only person in orange within 50 rows in the season tickets section. Had no issues. Didn't have one fan yell/cuss/or be rude while I was down there.

I have no crushes. I just choose to cheer for the conference that my team plays in. Like I said....I don't care if it's Florida, Bama, Miss St. of Vandy palying for it, I would cheer for any of them.

i have family that lives in Gadsten AL and we barely speak because of the Ut bama rivalry. When i was a kid and i went to visit they always tried to convert me figuring i was young and naive enough. I didn't and it just got worse. I HATE BAMA and I HATE FL. I respect your stance and appreciate the fact that you pull for SEC teams. However I won't pull for Bama or FL in the NC

With that being said that's cool that you don't cheer for Bama. LOL. I married into mostly Bama fans. So I just let them know that I wouldn't be converting on day 1. I think the fact that I wore my TN stuff after we lost to Wyoming last year let them know that I wouldn't be converting.

What concerns me is that the media is going to make a push for the UF/Bama rematch. Even though UF was beaten by 19 points, both teams are way ahead in the BCS poll and ....

Well, there goes that theory.

Yes, not now...but I was thinking that "IF" Texas had lost and how less marketable the TCU/Cincy v.s. Bama game would be and that I can see the media and others making a push for a UF/Bama rematch.

No one in the media wanted to see Tebow go out a loser.

I believe an SEC team in the National Championship sends a message to recruits that the SEC is strong...not just Alabama. I would think most of the prospects want to go to the next level, not just play.
To all of you who HATE a team just because of their name, do you also hate the neighbors that have less than you, or the person who scored higher than you on your last test? I don't much care for LSU (especially because of their head coach), but when they were playing for National Championship I found it in myself to pull for the SEC... not really LSU...but the SEC. AL has earned the right to play next, and you have to admit Saban made a classy game end at the SEC game. It's ok to pull for the SEC team...or you are saying u would rather the rich boys win it?

I dont cheer for a conference I cheer for the Vols.With everyones reasoning if slive was in the running for something great youd vote for him just cause his name is with the sec.

I told one of my buddies that's a Texas fan today that I'll be cheering for a burnt shade of orange to go with the regular vols orange in january. As long as Bama doesn't win the big one, I'm happy

It's time to pull for UTjr over Bama.

And if that "Texas is UT" nonsense starts up again say the one thing that will shut them up-

I respect the tradition of Texas, but Tennessee was UT before Texas was a country.

When is the last time an SEC team has lost in a National Championship game?

I rooted for Bama in 92 against Miami. I rooted for Florida and LSU the past few years and i will always root for an SEC team when they are in a position to win it all.
This is when we become classy fans and put our differences aside and root for this great conference that we are in. I would rather beat the defending champs next year than the runner ups after all..
