Love to have been at the 'Bama game in 82'. To end that streak was like being raised from the dead. John Ward went crazy on the Vol Radio Network.  :fworks: :td: :3cheers:

I was there - man what a party on the Strip that night. I've told the story before but the goal posts were carried out through the Northeast entrance and taken across the upper level of the student center (above the parking deck) out onto Volunteer, up Cumberland Ave and stopped right at the crest of Cumberland at 17th street. All traffic was stopped. It was a blast :p

At times I sound negative, and am trying to improve this BUT, I cannot get into listening to Bob Kesling. I was raised on John Ward and there is NO replacement. Sorry for whom I offend or anger just me feelings.

Got to agree on that Donsarge. "What did he do? He scored. Touchdown, Tennessee" "Diving, plunging, twisting, turning..."

and in basketball I loved the "you sir, walked"

He most certainly was the "Insuror of Tennessee"

and don't forget his...."Natural Gas." And he ended with "the national championship is clad in, big orange."

FL/TN '98 because it was one of the best experiences of my life. I think about that missed FG, and the roar of the crowd. I still get goosebumps.

You guys are wanting to relive glory . . . I'd go back to the '97 Florida game and sneak onto the field during pregame to tell Phil that he needed to go ahead and let that freshman named Jamal Lewis have 30 carries and see what happens.

(GAVol gets escorted from Florida field...)

Probably true . . . one of those yahoo highway patrolmen would have probably tasered me as soon as my feet hit the field. We would still have lost to Florida and I'd be serving time in a nort Florida correctional facility for stalking.

Thanks for the pain, AV. You just had to do that THIS EARLY in the morning? And, on a Friday to top it off.

Does this make it better?

It's all about the final score....

Reliving the NC was my vote.

Although the Miami game is inticing as long as I get to hear Kellen Winslows comments after the game :)
