There are going to be recruits... LOTS OF THEM:

Got this from POA Recruit update:

Here's a tentative list for next weekend's official visits:

Dewayne Hendrix
Clifton Garrett
Josh Malone
Derrell Scott
Braxton Berrios
Travis Rudolph
Coleman Thomas
Dillon Bates

UOV's

Andrew Williams
Ricky DeBerry (2015)
Drew Richmond (2015)

From 247:if Butch thinks Ferguson or Dobbs or some random walk-on quarterback gives his team the best chance to win, he’s going to put that person on the field. For now, though, he thinks it’s Worley, and in this win-or-be-fired era of college football where every single game is so crucially important, coaching for the future doesn’t always work. Jones coaches week to week, and he’s trying to get this team to a bowl game. And he thinks that Worley is still the team’s best option to get that done. So look for Worley to stay under center unless he gets hurt, becomes horribly ineffective or a game gets out of hand.

Remember, this is a man who made a quarterback change on a 6-2 team last season, and with a kid who was 9-2 in his career as a starter. He’s not old-school in that way. He’s not anti-change by any means. He just doesn’t think the freshmen are ready. They don’t have much in the way of experience at receiver, which makes experience at quarterback even more imperative, and these freshmen didn’t enroll in time for spring practice — like Tyler Bray and Casey Clausen and several other early-contributing quarterbacks did before them. That does make a difference.

We know this part of the schedule is going to be rough, so go to the game but lets please be classy.. (Hopefully we don't have to worry about any of this...)

Even though Dooley sucked, I hated the booing. We sure don't need it Saturday. We all know Worley sucks now. Don't blow the recruiting edge we have please

I agree completely. We (fans) are our own worst enemy at times.

All we need is a QB that can complete a 10-15 yd pass and hand the ball off. That ain't to hard.

I tend to agree but if there is booing that means that UT is playing very poorly.

I doubt a recruit will want to play for a team that gets consistently embarrassed at the national level... booing or not.

Booing him sure isn't gonna boost his confidence either

yes, that's the worst thing we can do. The recruits get turned off and we take confidence away from the kids trying to play.

I was at the USA/VOLS game and fans got disgruntled in the second half when Worley was messing up. Half the crowd was gone, but the VOLS came out of their funk at the end when the fans really got behind them and YELLED to help the defense. It was as loud as I've heard fans this year at a game, with half a crowd.

We gotta stand behind this team and help give confidence--this is a rough stretch.

Exactly. I don't care how bad we are winning or losing. Stay until the clock hits 0:00. It's amazing what crowd noise and interaction will do for the team. I said in another thread that I'm sure it was discouraging for the team when they come out in the third quarter and look at the stands and everybody is gone. It's ridiculous. I am going Saturday and you can bet that I will be there until the fat lady songs regardless of the score.

So, what you're telling me, is that Worley and the entire UT football team have their skill levels literally determined by the crowd?

Go out and execute the play that is called. That has nothing to do with the crowd.

I think crowd does have an effect on a team. That's why there is suppose to be a home field advantage (if home is behind them)

And these guys are such mentally fragile porcelain dolls that, if they don't have crowd support, they can't execute basic plays?

Checks out.

This is where you are VERY wrong. Butch is selling coming to a team that tremendously lacks talent and be a part of a historic program and be part of the legendary group of players that builds that program back up to it's rightful place.

He can sell a bad loss just as well as he could sell a huge upset.

The only thing he can't sell is fan apathy or negative reactions when the team is understandably struggling.

Notice how he keeps asking the fans to be there, be loud, be engaged??? He needs us and many of our fanbase is already turning their back on him...for what?

That he won't put in some freshman QBs who have only been on campus for 2 months?

Some of you all need a SERIOUS reality check and realize the rebuilding process started over last year when Dooley blew our one good chance at a decent season the past 5 years.

Butch is capable of getting the program back on top, but only if our fanbase helps him...not turns on him one month into the process.

I for one will be there the entire game Saturday and expect this team to play their best for 60 minutes.

I am so excited for the future of TN football under Butch Jones I can't even put it into words.

GO VOLS!

Exactly, the fanbase needs to erase the last 5 years from their memory and realize that the hour glass reset.

When things start going bad, realize that they are supposed to go bad right now. Instead of having "oh no here it goes again, we have a crappy coach" attitude. Get fired up and loud and let the team know that the fans are still behind them and that we believe in them no matter what!

It has a lot to do with the crowd for the other team though when they can't hear because the stadium is so loud. This is what needs to happen this Saturday too.
