One good thing about that is that I don't see Huepel ever accepting that job. He got burned pretty bad from what I understand.
They didn't even try to get him last time so I guess he told them he wasn't interested....Besides he's got his own program now and the fan love every coach dreams of right here...He's set for life.

OU and Texas will adjust fine their recruiting will get even better and then they will get that SEC money too. These are two national and historic college football powers they will make the toughest league in college football even tougher.

to me I think they will eventually settle into the 2nd tier of the SEC. they won't be Bama/Georgia good of running the conference. But they will sit there with LSU/Aubrun/FLA/TN/TAMU as the group the can win the SEC and a national title. but I think the first couple years they could be down below that group with Ole Miss, Scar, Ark, Mss St. just based on the grind. I guess we will find out how much that grind is real.

Unlike TAMU and Mizzou joining and having early success TU and OU are joining into a strong SEC for the most part.

how the divisions/pods/groups gets done will go a long way to determining who is up/down.

I believe that is incorrect. Believe they play SEC football in 2024. “The SEC's 2023 schedules are out, but soon, the league will begin preliminary discussions on the 2024 slate that will include the Longhorns and Sooners. Among the options — divisionless formats with an eight or nine-game option, per SI's Ross Dellenger.”
They’ll be in the SEC in fall of 24. The Big 12 is hammering both schools with the schedule this season too. Nice little F U parting gift .
