Golden out at Miami, splash effect

On Canesinsight (one of their fanboards), one poster said to avoid the Saban tree because they "don't want to end up with a Derek Dooley."

Also, lots of talk about "Butch," but they're referring to Butch Davis.

Impressively, there are no Gruden threads yet. In every coaching search, a fan usually throws the name out there within a few hours.

Chip Kelly may have replaced Gruden on all these list.

Shocking to me that Charlie Strong is publicly suggesting interest. Suggests he's really unhappy at Texas. Not sure that I view it as a smart move on his part, b/c it's very unlikely that Miami will pay as well as Texas.

Less pressure and easier path to playoffs in ACC these days.

Dan Mullen would be where I would go if I were Miami. A good scheme with the talent in Dade and Broward county would make them a pest.

Ed Reed said he would listen if there was a call. Saw that and thought that was pretty random.

Well I would too. If the U is ok with little to no coaching experience we could make a staff just off this website. Lol of course a hall of fame safety who played there would listen.
