Funny how people on here piss and moan about how awful Golden is and then when he gets hurt and going to miss a few games people say " we are screwed without him"
Golden always gives his all for Tennessee. I think he has been banged up all year and it has affected his play.
^ the only thing that makes me doubt that is he was playing exceptionally well to start the season. However, if there's an issue with his surgically repaired knee, we need a new medical staff. 0/3 on knee surgeries isn't a good percentage, especially for a surgery on an area as common as the knee in basketball.

Was he playing exceptionally well at the beginning? I honestly don't recall. I didn't see the Ok State game so I can't comment there, but he has seemed to struggle almost from the outset against better than average competition. I'm sure he was doing fine against the sub-200 RPI teams early on but once UT moved on to the big boys, where physicality and strength begin to matter, his game started to wain. I have no insight here other than posing a "what-if". I think it might be as much mentally getting over having had a knee injury as anything else, but if we find out he had never really recovered 100% from the surgery it would explain much about his performance this season.
Left. But I've heard many times that returning too early from any injury increases chance of other injuries, you start over compensating even if it's subconsciously.
yep. But whatever it has been--shoulder, knee, or whatever--I didn't like hearing Jimmy Dykes talk about Trae being at the shootaround for an hour and a half the other night and not saying a word to his teammates. That lack of leadership on the floor has killed us this year.
