He just learned how he has to tone it down with his shot selections against better teams. Can almost garuntee this wont happen again, this bad at least.

Have to remember this squad has only been playing together for 6 games counting exhibition.
Golden's feeling the pressure to do more than he has to.
By mid season he'll be one of the top PGs in the SEC.
He'll learn a lot from the last 2 games.
Book it.

Chill out. Its obvious some of you have no/zero/zilch athletic experience at ALL!! Golden had a bad game. Whomever the idiot was that said he does not distribute the ball, please check his stats for the season. He was pressing way too much today which caused him to force some bad shots. He'll be fine and is arguably our best player. He and Maymon give us a pretty formidable tandem.

Didn't he shoot like 4-19 from the field? He will win us some games just gotta go through the growing pains.

So I am in idiot and not a true fan because i said golden made some absolute horrible decisions that contributed heavily to the loss? I didn't put him on a pedestal before this game and pretty sure what I have said so far cannot be argued.

You need to learn that if you make well reasoned statements of fact on forums which irritate other posters you will be called all sorts of names. It is human nature to resort to name calling when one disagrees but has no valid argument. The folks on forums are all too human. I try to resist the temptation to call people names at least in writting but sometimes it is really difficult to decline. Indeed I cannot remember ever seeing a UT point guard play a worse game than Goldens performance and I have been watching UT games since the late 60s.

I was not referring to your post. I was referring to the post that said "Golden needs to learn how to distribute the ball..." He had 7 assists yesterday and is averaging around 8 /game. People that do not know basketball should not make comments like that.

Did anyone else notice how the commentators for the Memphis game kept ragging Golden for being out of control and taking bad shots? They were right. Golden will have to learn or he's going to screw things up. Maymon is a beast!

Not trying to be a jerk, but this post is about 20 hours late. There are multiple threads and posts discussing this and I think anybody who watched the game yesterday understood how bad both Golden and McRae played, combined 6-31 from the field. Cuonzo should have put Golden on the bench next to McRae, he was obviously exhausted and his decision making was inexcusable. He lead our team to victory the first two games and played pretty well against Duke. He was shooting lights out and was bound for a night off.

He had a terrible game, it's important to see how he bounces back from it. It's also important to see who helps him and Maymon out offensively.

A bad game shooting is one thing, but every single bad shot he took led directly to points for Memphis. It was unreal.
