Wow! Whoever on the board that had the Vegas bet for him to win 2 majors this year is screwed.

So now the headline reads "Woods Wins Open Despite Double Stress Fracture"

Wow.

The TW.com piece mentions that Tiger originally ruptured the ACL after the '07 British Open... All that winning at the end of last season was done on a left ACL... unbelievable.

I posted on the US Open thread that he would play in the British........I guess I was wrong!!!!

I am not a huge Tiger fan, but I really hope this does not hurt his career. He is the greatest athlete in sports today. I wish him the best in his rehab! COME BACK SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guy emailed me that this opens the door for Mickelson to win two majors in a row.

Huh?

Mickelchoke isn't going to win two more majors in his entire career, much less in a row.

If Tiger has been playing on a bad leg for this long, does this mean that he could possibly be more accurate off of the tee in the future?

I completely agree. I bet this ends up being good for golf in the long run. If a few guys can step up and play really well in the Tiger absence then perhaps they can give Tiger something to focus on...

I don't like Mickelson, but that's an absurd comment.

The guy is massively talented and, like Tiger, when he reins in his driver, can win anywhere. US Opens at Pinehurst suit his game well, Augusta suits his game, St. Andrews should work well for him. Just doesn't make sense to count out a guy with the length he has and otherworldly short game.

I'm with law, phil may have the game-but he has proven to be too much of a headcase.
