Good Article on Cuonzo Martin

The article didn’t do anything to bolster my confidence in Martin’s ability to coach. I can’t think of any really successful coach who was heavily into religion. Seems more of a distraction than anything else to me. I used to believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy myself, but I wasn't a basketball coach so it didn't matter. Hopefully, a belief in fantasy figures won't hamper Cuonzo's ability to take the Vols to the top.

Ed, you ready are one screwed up worthless piece of trash. I really hope you're not this pathetic away from this message board. No wonder you're special Ed. You're an embarrassment to this board and fans

As I mentioned, I wasn't trying to bring religion into debate. I was just stating that the article showed how Cuonzo relies on his faith on the court, as well as off the court.

I'd rather have the coach we have now than the previous joke we had.

I'm proud Coach Martin is a Vol.

Yeah...I'm sure religion is what made them unsuccessful. Troll harder.

Let's hate on a guy for having a different view and expressing it in a slightly douchey manner (aka like most of us do at one time or another).

A true christian does not judge others, they let jesus do the judging at the pearly gates.

I'm not even religious and I know that.

If that's all it was that'd be one thing, but it's nt, he's simply trying to troll and be the biggest negavol that he can be. He has been nothing but derogatory in regards to CCM since he got here, and any opportunity he sees he takes advantage of.

I'm all for different views as this is a message board, however sped over there is simply looking to be the biggest douche he can be.

If you are implying that the tooth fairy does not exist then how the heck did that money get under my pillow?

I am so proud that Coach Martin is our Coach. He is a Champion as far as I'm concerned. I do believe He not only talks the talk, but walks the walk also. Good luck Coach.

There is a reason his handle is Special Ed. This explains many of his crazy posts. We can remember this on his future rantings and thought processes.

I support coach Martin and hope he proves he can get the job done but I will take a joke of a coach like our previous coach anytime.

Everyone knows I really like Martin, but we really need to see more of him before we get a solid analysis IMO. Martin has proved that he's not a knock-over, so that's a good start. Doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be great though.

Based off of his history and what he's been able to do so far, would you say that he has potential to be as successful as Pearl? Personally, I say he has the potential, but I'm not 100% confident that it's realistic. Again, time will tell. Is it fair to say that as long as Martin doesn't underachieve, he has a decent shot at being great?

I definitely think he has the potential to be as good or better than Pearl but he has to prove it on the court.....Good start last yr but still just a NIT bid.....His recruiting has me very worried but others seem to think this class will be top notch.....I will feel better about him as a coach if he lands a top ranked recruiting class this year.

Yeah, I definitely get what you're saying. I know we were hoping for an NCAA bid, but I'm not disappointed with the NIT this past season. However, as long as we don't underachieve, I'll probably be a little disappointed if we don't make the NCAAs this season.

Anything less than an NCAA appearance is a disappointment most seasons but you have to give him a.chance to bring in his own players and set up his system.....I am fairly confident that her can coach......its just the recruiting I am really concerned about.....Besides Stokes them rest of his commits appear to best marginal players with alot of questions about their games.

I fully expect a NCAA bid next year, and a favorable seed at that. Atleast one win and hopefully a sweet 16 appearance is my expectation.
