Good for Auburn

Treadwell didn't deserve it, though. That could have ended a great NFL career before it even started. Hate it for him and their fans. Never want to see that.

I never will wish harm to any player. I was mainly referring to how they lost by fumbling at the one. I know he was hurt on the play and I wish for a speedy recovery. I don't know what karma we had going against us vs uga last year, but I'm glad to see we must of done something to get back in good graces.

Auburn has given themselves opportunities and taken advantage of those opportunities. Good teams make plays, bad teams make mistakes. They're the exact opposite of us and it's not due to luck. Even the Prayer at Jordan-Hare the WR still had to make a difficult catch after the initial breakup. The Kick 6 was Gus outcoaching Saban and knowing he had a mismatch on the field.

Thankfully there are a few people that get it.

Auburn is 19-1 since 2010 in games that ended within one-possession in winning seasons (ie: discounting that abortion 2012 season which got Chizik fired). Even if you count that 3-9 season, the record is an NCAA best 20-4. At some point you have to stop looking at "luck" and start looking at a team that makes plays when the game is on the line. Yeah, some of those plays were "lucky"...but you don't go 19-1 off "luck" alone. Auburn makes plays, lots of other teams crumble with the game on the line. You can talk about that Treadwell fumble as "lucky", but Ole Miss actually had a player in position to recover the ball in the end-zone but he flat out got outplayed by AU LB McKinzy who simply took the ball away. Just prior to that possession Ole Miss was marching into the end-zone and Bo Wallace stupidly stuck the ball out and had it knocked out by an AU defender. Again, one team makes a mistake, and the other team makes a play (forces fumble and recovers it).

Neyland Maxim #2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way.. Score.

great posts. :toast:

Feel awful for Treadwell, but glad Auburn got the win. Would have rather seen Treadwell not get hurt and fumble it/ or score the td and have Auburn drive the ball for a TD to end the game.
