Good Game, Vols.

I'm amazed that Chavis let so many KY screen plays break out for decent yards! Everybody and their brothers know that Sanders is screen pass-happy!

On another note- kudos to Sanders for exploiting one of our biggest weaknesses: defending the option. I can think of at least 4 option plays that KY ran with good success.

Randy wasn't calling the plays . . .

Sanders probably wore a defensive headset and fed coverages to KY defense, based on Tennessee's offensive sets.

How does the worse defense in the nation hold us to 17 points?

A lot of teams have hurt UT with the screen pass the last few years.

I've watched this team for 12 games this year, and it was easily the best defense they played all year. I think that they felt they had something to prove, but just fell short.

We are beaten by screens because we are an aggressive D and over-pursue. When six or seven defensive players are behind the eventual receiver, you only have five more defensive players to beat and most of them are twenty yards downfield covering the wideouts. Just my opinion.

Agree. We are beaten up by screens and option all year long, because of our over-aggressiveness and over-pursue.

That's the sign of immaturity. We have such a young front 7 this year, and lost Mayo into this game. This turns our to be our biggest problem. Like those high school defensive players, our defense pursue the ball too much, and forget their position, forget their own responsibilities, and forget to defend the offensive lanes.
