Good horror?

Decent?? AWIL is more than decent! Imo it's still to this day the best werewolf movie ever made. The makeup effects still look fantastic and the werewolf itself, it still holds up! The fact you don't see much of it is what makes those scenes so intense! But even when you do see it, you totally buy into it! AWIL is a 5 star, 10 out of 10 essential must own horror movie IMO!
I still very much appreciate the original Howling too. The transformations in that movie are amazingly well done, especially given the movie was released in 1980. Both that and AWIL were ahead of their time.

Finally got around to Longlegs. It was okay, I wish they would have explained the little metal balls a little bit more and how they worked and came to be. It was kinda out there, even for a horror movie. Not a bad movie though.

My huge problem with that film was cage. I thought he overdid his part

It had a good premise and some decent acting but they seemed to go for the cliches instead of just making a good story.

Let the Right One In (2008) ..... This Swedish movie is one of the best vampire movies ever made. Very compelling story of a young, lonely and bullied boy who befriends a strange girl next door (who happens to be a vampire.)

..... or if you would rather not have subtitles, you can go with the American version :

Let Me In (2010) .... Something is lost in the translation, and it's not quite as good as the Swedish original, but it's still very good, and you don't have to read it. Chloe Grace Moretz plays the girl/vampire. A very good actress. She also did the Carrie remake.

If anyone hasn't it watched it, I highly recommend the show The Outsider on Max. It's mostly a murder mystery type show, with horror/supernatural elements mixed in. It has some pretty tense scenes.

Has anyone seen the Witchboard remake? It hasn’t gotten much attention but it came out last year and is a remake of the 80s movie. I’m very curious as I liked the 80s movie when it came out.

Ok, so just finished watching Speak No Evil with James McAvoy. He’s a great actor but it’s just not nearly as good as the original Danish film of the same name. They watered it down for American audiences, I assume that’s the reason anyway. If you’re wanting to watch it it’s worth a watch but then go watch the original. It’ll be worth it as some major things were changed.

Companion on max is t really horror but is really good. Or at least I thought it was.
I thought it was okay.

Didn't care for Bondsman. I didn't knowanything about it going in either. I gave up on it on E4.

I think I'm going to try Woman in the yard. Looks creepy.

I loved Witchboard back in the day. Tried to watch it this past October and it didn't hold up well at all.

It's not a horror, but Bone Tomahawk would scratch that itch. Lol.

I remember. Lol.

You and discussed it several years ago. First time I saw it I didn't like it. It had been a couple of months after seeing it when I talked to you so I watched it again. Changed my mind. Seen it 3 times now.
