Good luck Tennessee

Nice post - good thread.

After UT I root SEC all the way so hopefully it's UK vs UT in the NC game with UT pulling it out. I doubt that'll happen though - although we do have a solid shot for our first Final Four - hard to see us getting past Syracuse.

That said, even if we can't beat Ohio State again (I think we will), this has been a truly awesome season and I am thrilled with this team, win or lose. If you had told me in January that we would be at this point, with 27 wins in the final 16, having beaten Kansas and Kentucky, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. And so would anyone reading this.

Classy post Hardwood , I still think your a real Vol fan though lol.

Make no mistake about it. If UT and UK were getting ready to play the NC game and I happened to see Scotty Hop, Prince and Chism standing on the edge of a cliff... well... use your imagination. :)

On a serious note, I have always lived right on the state line. Growing up I lived 10 minutes from the border. I have season tix to the Titans games. We have a houseboat on Dale Hollow lake (on the Kentucky side). My grandpa was in the walking horse business, so we spent a lot of time in TN for that.

Growing up my hometown's nearest alcohol stop was in TN. I have an aunt who is a UT Grad (but bleeds blue). In summation, I spent a lot of time in Tennessee, and will continue to do so.

For compromise, lets just say I am a huge fan of the state.

Thanks OP. That was classy post.

I think the line is about right for Cats V Cornell...its -8.5

With the momentum Cornell is riding, I think its only fair to put it at single digits. However, I just have a feeling that if Cornell doesn't win this game, they get beat by a much larger score. I could be completely wrong, just a gut feeling.

Either way, I think thats the right line to throw out there for this game.

Who else is geeked out and excited about this weekend? How many of you have the bubble gut (hungover waffle house meals not included) about your game? I can't remember a tournament where I was so elated, yet completely on edge. Anticipation is driving me crazy over here on the blue side, which makes me think about you guys as well. I have to imagine it is just as bad or worse on the orange side. UT is in a position to make a serious breakthrough in terms of the basketball programs tradition and respect on a national level. UT is playing for something that quite frankly means more on the national scene.

Here on the blue side of the fence, its hysteria because we have tasted it and want more, more, and more. Another title on the mantle doesn’t really change anything, in most people’s eyes. We will just want another one. However, UT has a chance to breakdown a door and walk through it, which could change everything. Perception, respect, recruiting…. The list goes on and on. Making the final four will be a huge success for the program, let alone winning the whole damn thing.

And quite frankly, I’m in your corner and on the wagon. Give em’ hell VOLS.

Disclaimer:
The above paragraph is valid only as it pertains to UT on its side of the bracket. It shall be temporarily void in the event our two teams meet in the NC game. Should that happen, I wish you nothing but the best in your runner-up parade. :)

You are the first uk fan that seems to be able to discuss this with impressive lucidity. Thank you very much! Good luck to you also, even though I detest the blue, lol.....GO VOLS!

Best wishes from another KY fan.

How ironic, the Big Least now has one team left (9pm Thu Night) and the SEC has two. Let's make it 2 SEC teams in the final four. I'm also rooting for TN because it's such a great place, though.

Seriously, go Vols.

Classy post. You are certainly a rare voice of reason from the UK fanbase.

Give 'em hell!!!! Here's another UK fan that respects your fans and your team. I hope you pound the Suck-Eyes into the ground.

Obviously, I've seen your team play several games this season and "Oh How I Hate Ohio State" has no idea what they're walking into. Chism, Hopson Williams, Maze and Prince can ball plus you have a nice bench with Goins, Tatum Coach P.'s kid and of course Nanny McBee.

OSU is basically a 1 man team. Shut down Turner and it's game over.

How great would it be if UT and UK played in the title game:)

Anyways, Best Of Luck!!!!!!!!!!

GO SEC
GO VOLS
and
GO BIG BLUE

Thanks to the Kentucky fans! Even though I want to beat your brains in every time we play and it often times has ended up the other way, here's hoping we have a UT-KY matchup and once again prove the Dickie V's of the world wrong about the SEC.
