Good read from ESPN on Joe Milton

I was very glad to hear what his private QB coach had to say about many things. To begin with, his new found maturity in his approach to the game as a leader is what you want to hear about your QB. Secondly, I'm very happy to hear they specifically worked long and hard in the short and intermediate passes. I wish him nothing but good fortune.

I find it so interesting that the opinion of the "experts" and "pundits" outside of our program is so very different than our fanbase when it comes to our starting QB.
Sunday morning QBs and Coaches...what gonna do.

I will admit I was hard on Milton right after the game, but going back and watching the game, a lot of that was on the receivers. He was honestly only off on like 3 passes. We will see this Saturday if he can step up and get us the W. He’s going to have to run the ball when the defense gives it to him tho.

I agree with this. He didn't have that bad of a game. Receivers have to catch balls that hit them in the hands. If they did this against Austin Peay we are likely having a very different conversation today.

20 years is a very long time, just saying.
Most Vol fans will believe it when they see it, a win in the swamp, that is:$

He had a bad game, and so did the receivers. The panic on here is overboard because the throws, for the most part, weren’t very far off. It’s not going to take a drastic turnaround; it isn’t as though he was airmailing everything 10 yards away from the receiver on every play. If the receivers settle in and Joe places the ball 5-10% better, the completion rate is going to go way up, and the offense is going to start humming.
