I see your point but with Clinton it was different. Never before in this countries history have we had a president to lie to the people the way he did and there be no consequence for it.

I'd argue that the four years George H.W. Bush was pres were better for SNL than any 4 under Reagan. Carvey, Hartman, Nealon, Jan Hooks, Mike Myers, Sandler, Farley, Spade, Rock, just to name a few. Those were solid years.

Hands down, the best SNL years IMO.

Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscopo, Jim Belushi, Julie Louise-Dreyfuss, Tim Kazurinsky, John Lovitz, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Phil Hartmann...

the Reagan years were pretty good although Carvey, Myers and Hartmann really came into their own after HW was elected.

I think all SNL was better pre-Clinton. The season they had w/ Chris Elliot was about the time I stopped watching it.

That season was terrible, they had Janine Garrofolo ( I'm not sure how you spell her name, and I don't care).

I loved the Mike Myers, Chris Farley etc years.

I did like Darrell Hammond as Clinton. I think Phil Hartman was better at the false sincerity, but Hammond nailed all the other mannerisms.

Kevin Nealon was pretty good but not one of my favorites players. I liked him on Weekend Update...though not as much as Dennis Miller.

The group that came in with Will Ferrell, Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon, Chris Kattan, etc. did not grow on me very much. I've only watched the show a few times since they went through that whole cast changeover in the 90's.
