I never said it was painful. I just said that it's kinda stupid to knock a guy from around here who has won a Nobel Peace Prize.

Al Gore isn't from "around here". His family is from the Carthage area which makes it middle Tennessee. There's a geological formation called the "Cumberland Plateau" between here and there.

The closest he's ever come to being from "around here" is when he was the Representative from Tennessee's 4th Congressional district.

I have more pride in David Keith than I do Gore. At least Keith is from Knoxville.

for the very same reason that Osama Bin Laden doesn't come out of his cave and drive a car bomb into an embassy or a hotel. It's easier to exhort a bunch of ignorant rubes into doing your bidding than actually practicing what you preach.
