Got A Question About Getting To Atlanta

I believe we are out. It's between A&M, Texas and Georgia assuming Alabama doesn't come back and win.
TN could make it to SEC championship game but I don’t want any part of it. A loss and the committee would keep us out of playoffs.

GA will be in the conf championship game. They will play Texas if Texas beats aTm. If aTm beats Texas, then TN could go a the tie tiebreaker goes to the highest ranked team.

The first round bye means nothing. In order to get it, you have to play a game while everyone else is off. So you get a bye, but all the others get a "bye" while you play in Atlanta.

Skip Atlanta and win 4 games!

Did you enjoy winning the SEC in men's basketball but not making the final 4 or would have rather made the final 4 and finished 2nd in the SEC?
in basketball I would take the sec championship. I realize it isn’t a national championship but I would prefer it over finishing 2nd and 4th.

No, it's UGA vs. Texas or ATM. Highest ranked team is no longer a tiebreaker.

We need to root for the longhorns to win..I want no part of the risk of getting a third loss from the sec championship and missing the playoffs

That is loser mentality but we are probably not in either way. I want to go (but then again, I could possibly get tickets so that is a motivating factor).

You’re correct. Thanks for clarification.

Here are the six tiebreakers, per the SEC:

  1. Head-to-head competition among the tied teams
  2. Record versus all common conference opponents among the tied teams
  3. Record against highest (best) placed common conference opponent in the conference standings, and proceeding through the conference standings among the tied teams
  4. Cumulative conference winning percentage of all conference opponents among the tied teams
  5. Capped relative total scoring margin versus all conference opponents among the tied teams
  6. Random draw of the tied teams
