What's the difference between the Afroman incident and these incidents?

The person who initiated the incident, deserved it?

How did the 3 people that interrupted the football game deserve to be body slammed/tackled?

All the players that tackled the fans were fairly restrained about it except for Mike Curtis, he just hit that dude full on like he was another player. If the other players wanted to they could have hurt those fans pretty bad.

You guys must have forgotten these great nominees and winners:

Alvin and the Chipmunks (The Christmas Song): 1959

The First Family (A comedy album making fun of the Kennedy's): 1963 WON album of the year

Milli Vanilli: 1990 WON best new artist

"Who let the dogs out" won a grammy for christ sake.

The list goes on and on

If a song about weed being nominated, not winning, just nominated, makes you think the grammy's are any less than before then you really don't understand the meaning of the grammy's.

By the way, his nomination was nearly 15 years ago. Not sure why that has any relevance to the current model, which as its always been, has been about popularity with minor artistic talent most times, not the other way around.

There was a bit of hyperbole in my statement. There is plenty of reasons ons not to respect the Hrammy's the list of legendary artists that have never been nominated, much less won, is ridiculous in its self.

Having said that....

That chipmunks Christmas song deserves every award it can get. It's a classic.

Comedy albums used to be very popular back in the day. It may very well have been a good record. Can't really say.

Milli Vanilli won before it came out they were frauds. The album was a well produced at the time and was enough to fool everyone for almost 2 years before they were outed.

Because I Got High is a humorous song so if the nomination was for comedy single or some such I guess I can buy that. It was not a well crafted hip hop song though so anything else either speaks to the lack of options that year or is just completely outlandish.
