Yeah I'm liking it a lot too. I thought the whole "cafe" concept sounded dumb at first but I'm enjoying it. I also appreciate how the game takes the time to explain parts upgrades and what exactly each one does to make your car better. I also like that it points out which tire types work best with your upgrades. For non "gear heads" like myself, that is a godsend. Also the Dualsense controller with GT7 feels so great and the 3D Audio is amazing if you have surround sound or a good pair of headphones.Got my ps5 and GT7 on Friday, and this game is everything i've been waiting on. The depth of customization combined with the level of detail Polyphony is famous for, is something I've been craving from a racing game. The driving has been good so far, good mix of ease of progression, but challenging races. I like the GT Cafe dynamic and the collection aspect. Only thing I really miss is the older Japanese cars from GT4 that aren't likely to make an appearance in GT7, like the R30 and R31 Skylines, and kei cars. Also the ghost differential on the HUD is no longer a thing which is a great shame, it helped me so much in GTSport not getting distracted by the ghost car but still being able to see my delta time to it.
I am loving it. Just got my Super license on Sunday. Man, that final exam was tough. Working on my International B Master license now. Most difficult game I’ve ever played.
I got in with a group of really dedicated gamers last year, who shared tunes and raced each other daily. That’s when I found out that I didn’t have near enough time to get good at Gran Turismo. I couldn’t keep up without burning through all of my fuel in half the time as them. I figured out that my controller wasn’t going to allow me to keep speed without revving all the way and I didn’t have the space nor the money to buy a racing rig.
Beautiful game, but humbling as well for a guy who wants to be competent at anything he decides to take up.

I just bought a cheapie racing wheel and pedals on ebay. Refurb. Thrustmaster T248 for PS5/4 and PC. Not going to spend a lot of money on something until I figure out if I like it or if I can do it. It's not their entry level wheel, it's kind of like their next step up from entry level. I have to say, the force feedback on this wheel is excellent. I did not think it would be that strong. The pedals are fantastic. Normally the package runs $300-$400 new. The refurb on ebay was $239. I think well worth the money so far. My lap times have sped up significantly because I don't need to use any of the assists anymore. And you can really feel the course and bumps and the curbs... It's a whole new world, lol.
Youtube is your friend for tuning. I can tune to a point. But yeah, some of the stuff I don't know what to do with. Youtube helps out a lot!If my toddler would allow it, I would buy a racing setup. Also, I probably wouldn’t have stopped playing if I had just stayed away from PVP.
I grew too frustrated with not being able to wrap my head around tuning. GT should add better visual aids to help someone understand what’s really going on with every little change.

I'll search the web for specific car setups too. Seems to work for me.
