Obama was a community organizer for only 3 years from 1985-88, before he attended law school. Chicago has had other community organizers since that time, and has now. So why don't you put the blame on the current ones instead of your lame attempt at putting the problems Chicago is having now on Obama?

so is it your contention that the Chicago Annenberg Challenge was a rousing success? After all, it is a universally accepted ideal that if you throw more money at the education system and offer kids more opportunities to learn, they will turn away from crime.

No, I am saying trying to link murder rates in Chicago as directly related to something Obama did or didn't do as a community organizer is pathetic and absurd.

If I remember correctly, your side tried to claim that more black churches would burn and more crimes against blacks in general would be committed if GWB was elected.

Exactly what side are you referring to? 2004 was the first time I ever voted democratic, and I generally think the liberal left is full of a bunch of loonies, including whoever said what you said above.

What does this have to do with murder rates in Chicago, and Obama being the culprit of it all?

you actually voted for John Kerry? That's almost as bad as my admitting to voting for clinton in 1992.

I'm not saying Obama is responsible for the murder rate in Chicago. I just don't think he cares. He got what he needed from Chicago, which was a start in politics. Now, like so many other aspects of his past, Chicago has been thrown under the bus.
