Great Game Tonight!

I actually somewhat agree with this, was a good effort on both sides till like the last 4 minutes on offense. Defense stayed okay at the end. I know we gave up offensive rebounds but we got just about as many

The effort is there for the most part. But there is NO PLAYER on this team that wants the ball in his hands at nut cuttin time. Bowden has been a HUGE disappointment in that regard. Him looking to pass when he was one on one and a chance to DRIVE and make a play was inexcusable, IMO.

Thank you Vols, I know you’re not happy, but it was a hell of a game! Fulky has turned into an animal! Pons was fighting his azz off! A few bad possessions down the stretch... Keep fighting, appreciate You!

Last bit was tough, but we did lead majority of the game. We knew this year was going to be tough, but we've seen some improvements in some of our players from last year and some of our young guys are getting the hang of things...some more than others. I think next year will be a fun one to watch. If I'm not mistaken, we're only losing Bowden...and we're picking up some really good players next year. As much as Pons and Fulkerson have been showing out this year, we still get one more year of them. I'm really excited for next season.

I'm to the point where it feels like Fulk wants the ball in that situation. He got it tonight, but he unfortunately turned it over both times he got it with the game on the line. Maybe the same can be said for Vescovi.

The rest of the team, I believe you're correct.

Just not our year. Team is just missing a couple of pcs. Plavsic is a huge disappointment. Make our free throws and we win this game easy.

How do you lead for 90% of the game and lose?

Oh well on to the NIT this year.

Short on talent, lack anyone that can score short of Fulky and occasionally Pons. Bowden is a chiken s*!t-cleared out for him at the end and he looked to pass, also waited til 7 seconds left on shot clock. Got to start that last play at 10 seconds, poor b ball IQ.

In the last 3 seconds a true freshman hit a free throw, missed a free throw on purpose with a big bounce off the rim, grabbed the rebound, and put up a potential OT shot. He did 4 out of 5 things exactly as needed in a nearly impossible situation. But VN posters love to bash the 19 year old.
Too many "bashers", but that's nothing new. Remember when they dogged Admiral & Grant, Bone, & that group? Last season Fulky was the punching bag. There's something to be said for player development, & CRB & staff are proven at that. Some folks are just myopic with the memory of an amoeba. GO VOLS!

Eh, I have a hard time pinning blame on Fulk for the missed block call instead of charge. I guess officials had been calling it incorrectly the whole day against us (about half of the charges were real), so he should have known the way it was being called.

Similarly, his pass out of bounds showed hand contact on the replay and looked awkward during the live action. I have a hard time blaming a guy for throwing it away when he got fouled fairly aggressively

I am usually not to hard on players but you are correct. Bowden being the senior should have demanded the ball the last few possessions. Most of our guys were simply playing hot potato with the ball. At some point in every game a team needs a go to guy or guys to produce. This team plays its heart out but simply doesn't have that guy on the roster currently.

The Possession prior to the charge was a called play call for the pick and roll with SV and Fulky imo. Bowden was simply trying to get the ball where it was called to go but SV wasn’t able to shake from his guy.

Ok at what point does he just run the play himself. Would expect a senior to do that.

Probably true about the play call Bruin. When the play doesn't go as it is planned some one has to step up and be that guy.Turner would have been.I just don't see that alpha player on this team.I love the effort they play with though.

My biggest grip with Bowden was he passed up a wide open 3 with about 2min left but it was early in the shot clock so maybe it wasn’t all bad but the possession did end badly
