I once made a great golf shot...

It was a beautiful day with a light southeast breeze. I stepped onto the green feeling a little lucky. I knelt down to survey the green. I noticed that it was just on a little bit of a slope going right to left. I stepped up to the ball and took a couple of practice swings and just tried to relax. Then I stepped over to the ball, gripped my putter and took a deep breath and tapped the ball just right.

The ball traveled up the ramp and down the other side, through the windmill without being touched and into the hole. What a shot that was..... :)

One othe thing, do any of the courses that you play give you a notebook of course information like what the golfers were carrying around during the Master's tourney? I think they should find out where the pin is when they get to the tee like the rest of the weekend golfers. Red flag = Front, Blue = Middle, Green = Back.

Many nice courses actually give you a printout with the day's flag locations, marked in yards (+ or -) from the center of the green. Also, with GPS, you know EXACTLY how far to the stick at all times.

Of course, I'm not good enough for that stuff to help me. Smartest play: center of the green.
