Tampa Bay Rays Shields has been amazing his last 2 starts. 18 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 15 Ks. 2 back-to-back complete game shutouts. A one hitter and a two hitter respectively.

The Reds own Joey Votto had a 3 HR game recently.

Someone from the Twins hit for the cycle a couple days ago but I can't think of his name right now.

I thought it would be nice to have a thread to talk about the great performances that we will see over the course of the season.

Cliff Lee is doing something special.

If I were in fantasy I would trade him, Now!

I just saw a highlight of ManRam catching a ball over his shoulder, climbing the wall, high fiving a fan and then throwing the ball back in to double up a baserunner.

Only Manny. :eek:hmy:

Carlos Gomez - 22 yr old kid who was the key in the Johan to the Mets trade. Looks to be a win/win so far.

even if it was, for example, Ryan Howard? this dude in my league has a boner for Howard and is offering me Alex Gordon (KC) and Lee for him.

i've been eying his waiver claim for a few days as i think about this Howard deal.

i'd make a horrible GM in real life.

So you can pick up Gordon and Lee for Howard and then pick up Votto for nothing? I'd do that deal IMO. I'm not a huge fantasy baseball guy but I'd have to say that would be a steal for you.

I just said trade Cliff Lee because he is high. Kind of like selling a stock when it's high. Getting your maximum return.

i ended up with Votto, Lee and Carlos Quentin out of the deal. i hope it pays off.

Cole Hamels didn't do too badly tonight either, it just so happens he ran into the Bergmann. Just got back from the scintilating game and Hamels was hitting every spot from the start.

To throw in some more, if you're looking for a SS/2nd baseman under the radar, Clint Barmes looks like he did 2 years ago.

Also Ryan Ludwick is leading the Cards in home runs, not bad.

Chase Utley needs a place for some praise. He has been on absolute fire. Adrian Gonzalez has been killing the ball too. Time to give more props to Josh Hamilton also.
