I don’t share her politics, but the early Kacey Musgraves is a current performer who has a more traditional sound, much like a young Dolly Parton

I don't know which is the "best", "Between Jennings and Jones" by Jamey JOhnson is pretty good.

This one is possibly the last of the great Country songs. Your mileage may vary, but I doubt it.

There are preserved some fabulous moments from the Johnny cash show. I particularly like the one where he has maybelle come out and he sings “pick the wildwood flower”. That is great. But check out this. Stunning really and you have to consider this is probably on one hour of practice.

I have two comments
1 it’s hard for me to believe a mortal human being could be that beautiful and
2 that song is more than 200 years old, maybe a lot more

The older I get Junior’s “Dinosaur” is hitting pretty close to home.

I’m a fan of Rose Colored Glasses, Who’s going to fill their Shoes, and anything Merle did.
